What’s in a wave? A surfer said, ‘Life is a wave. Catch it.’

Of course, it sounds silly when we learn that everything is made up of waves, or that waves are full of information.

Even rocks. For a human rocks are very tightly packed waves.

For an atom, a rock probably is like living in a towering apartment building.

We evolved to understand the messages in a few of the waves.

Rough seas often means a storm nearby. Sirens mean danger. Plucked guitar strings are music. Rainbows are colors.

Humans are beginning to build translators. Today, my favorite is the X-Ray machine that lets us see like Superman.

It appears that everything is made up of Energy … and Energy is Information.

What the hell does that mean?
